Restaurant software normally has 2 main pieces.

1. Point of Sale (POS) - This is what the people taking the orders and placing the orders normally see in order to place the restaurant food and beverage orders.

2. Accounting - This is what is required in the administrative office to do the accounting on the orders.  This piece is a combination of Accountings Receivable, Accounts Payable and Inventory.

Restaurant Food and Beverage software uses Accounts Receivable to keep track of what money has collected from customers and keeps track of what taxes have been paid and are due on the sales.

Restaurant Food and Beverage software uses Accounts Payable to keep track of what money has been spent on vaious food and beverage supplies that are needed.

Restaurant Food and Beverage software uses Inventory to keeps track of what supplies are on hand, ordered and what supplies need to be ordered in order to make the food and beverages being ordered.

One could use General Ledger or Jobcosting to see what has been spent and made on all restaurant food and beverage sales.

Our accounting software does integrate Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Invnentory, General Ledger, Payroll and Job costing.
